Egyptian digital bill payments firm Fawry 2022 profit surges 35%

Egyptian e-payment giant Fawry reported on Tuesday a 35 percent year-on-year growth in net profit in 2022.

Net profit before deduction of minority interests reached 327.05 million Egyptian pounds ($10.6 million) in 2022, up from 242.12 million pounds in 2021, according to the company’s consolidated financial results that were sent to the Egyptian bourse.

Revenues also rose to 2.27 billion pounds last year from 1.65 billion pounds a year earlier.
