Egyptian Exchange Briefing 19/02/2023

The Egyptian Exchange Market (EGX) witnessed a decline on Sunday for the second day in a row in its main index EGX30 with a percentage of -0.93 percent to reach a closing value of 17326.61.

The opening value was 17488.87 and the least value recorded was 17326.61. EGX30 witnessed a leap forward in its value, reaching a highest value of 17620.62, however, it faced a sudden decline to finally close at 17326.61.

EGX 70 EWI witnessed the most noticeable increase of 0.36 to close at 3001.64. It has recorded a highest value of 3027.73 and a lowest value of 2990.83. It is worth mentioning that lowest value recorded was its opening value.

EGX 50 EWI, however witnessed a decline with a percentage of -0.88 percent. Its opening price was 2964.06, and its highest recorded value was 2983.97. It finally closed at 2937.97.

The EGX market capitalisation  has closed at around 1.1 trillion Egyptian pounds, losing around 10 billion pounds today.
