The volume of Egyptian exports to the Russian market rose during January-February 2016 to US$80 million from $72 million a year earlier, second trade secretary at Egyptian Commercial Service.
Ehab Salah Eldin stated that Egypt’s exports recorded $35 million in January 2016 opposed to 24 million in January 2015, making 36 percent growth despite the obstacles that products faced in the Russian ports.
The volume of trade exchange between Egypt and Russia during the last four years estimated at $3-5 billion per year, the official said, adding that Egyptian exports to Russia amounted $250-540 million per year while Egypt’s imports from Russian reached $2-4.9 billion annually.
