Egyptian Food Bank to distribute millions of meals in Eid Wahda Initiative
The Egyptian Food Bank announced on Wednesday its participation in the Eid Wahda Initiative, a nationwide effort to support vulnerable Egyptians. As part of the initiative, the Food Bank aims to distribute 6.8 million packaged meals and over half a million food parcels to 2.9 million beneficiaries across all 27 governorates.
The Eid Wahda Initiative, spearheaded by the National Alliance for Civil Development Work, seeks to provide comprehensive support beyond food aid, including financial assistance, healthcare services, and awareness programs.
Egyptian Food Bank CEO Mohsen Sarhan expressed pride in the organization’s involvement, highlighting its commitment to serving millions of beneficiaries and improving the lives of rural communities.
The Food Bank’s participation in the Eid Wahda Initiative builds upon its successful involvement in previous national campaigns, such as last year’s Ketf Fe Ketf initiative, which reached over 4 million people.
