Egyptian govt.’s investments to develop South Sinai at $232 mln – minister
Egypt’s government plans to pump total investments worth around 3.68 billion Egyptian pounds ($232.1 million) to develop South Sinai within the 2020/2021 financial year, its planning minister said on Friday.
Minister Hala al-Saeed made these remarks during a meeting with South Sinai’s governor Khaled Fouda. They also discussed developing Sharm El-Sheikh and Naama Bay as part of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi’s directives.
The country’s water sector captures the lion’s share of the total investments by 23.6 percent, al-Saeed added.
