Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry spoke on the phone with Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian on Monday to discuss the situation in Palestine.
Shoukry shed light on Egypt’s measures to send international humanitarian aid to the people in Gaza.
He also hailed the positions adopted by Arab and Islamic countries, as well as the Islamic Republic of Iran, and their efforts in this regard.
The Egyptian minister also stressed on the necessity of continuing bilateral and multilateral talks to stop further escalation.
He also highlighted the importance of establishing a truce in Gaza and sending humanitarian aid to the citizens.
Amirabdollahian highlighted the importance of putting an end to the ongoing crisis in Palestine and the Israeli regime’s barbaric strikes against civilians in Gaza and the West Bank.
The minister also said that the Iranian Red Crescent Society is ready to send humanitarian aid to Gaza through Egypt.
