Dr Ashraf Al Araby, Egyptian Minister of Planning of International Cooperation, received on Tuesday Andria Riccardi , Italian Minister of International Cooperation and Integration Policies, and the accompanied delegation, as well the Italian ambassador to Cairo. The meeting discussed the executive position of the ventures between the two countries, in the framework of the preparations for the Italian Egyptian summit to be held next February in Cairo.
The Italian minister has pointed to the historic relations that connect the two countries and his countries’ support to Egypt during the current period.
Al Araby affirmed that the Egyptian government keens on establishing institutions, finishing the constitution and starting the parliamentary elections, moreover, it is looking forward to end the transitional period through the first half of 2013.
On the other hand, Riccardi stated that Egypt is a strategic partner to Italy. He lauded the volume of the cooperation portfolio between Italy and Egypt; which includes developmental and social ventures in different fields that have priorities in the Egyptian side; like SMEs, vocational training, food security, agriculture and solid wastes.
The two sides stressed on the necessity of enhancing the bilateral cooperation in the field of vocational and industrial training; referring to the success of Don Bosco experience in Egypt.
