The Egyptian Mercantile Exchange (EMX) said on Thursday it had appointed Zakaria Hamza as the new chief executive and managing director.
Hamza has over 30 years of experience in the financial institutions, entrepreneurship, and maximising revenues.
He was president of Disclosure and Corporate Governance Department at the Egyptian Exchange (EGX). Before joining the EGX, Hamza worked in the marine shipping business.
The EMX was established in January 2020 via a partnership between the Egyptian Exchange, the Internal Trade Development Authority, and the General Authority For Supply Commodities.
