Egyptian MP tests positive for coronavirus, other 11 members go into self-quarantine
Egyptian MP Shereen Farrag has tested positive for coronavirus on Tuesday, a news that made authorities in the country ordering 11 more parliament members who were in close contact – to self-quarantine at home.
Farrag was moved to Kasr El Aini Hospital in Cairo to receive medical treatment, while the 11 MPs will go into self-quarantine at home for 14 days, according to Tarek El-Kholy – secretary of the parliament’s Foreign Relations Committee.
Most of the MPs in the self-quarantine are from the parliament’s Planning and Budget Committee, El-Kholy told a local TV show.
