Egyptian pound closes high vs. USD on Tuesday – CBE

The Egyptian pound (EGP) strengthened against the US dollar (USD) on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, according to data from the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE).

The CBE quoted the average buying rate at EGP 48.3832 and the selling rate at EGP 48.4832, compared with Monday’s rates of EGP 48.4426 for buying and EGP 48.5418 for selling.
