The Egyptian pound inched higher against the US dollar in early trading on Tuesday, according to exchange rates posted by major local banks.

At 11:30 p.m. local time (09:30 GMT), the dollar was trading at the following levels:

Bank Buy (EGP/USD) Sell (EGP/USD)
National Bank of Egypt (NBE) 46.82 46.92
Banque Misr 46.82 46.92
Commercial International Bank (CIB) 46.79 46.89
QNB Alahli 46.7900 46.8900
Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) 46.8800 46.9800

The pound has traded within a narrow range in recent weeks, signalling relative stability in Egypt’s foreign exchange market after earlier bouts of volatility driven by hard-currency shortages and elevated inflation pressures.
