Egyptian pound inches higher vs. USD at Thursday’s close – CBE

The Egyptian pound (EGP) appreciated slightly against the US dollar (USD) on Thursday, July 31, 2025, according to data from the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE).

The CBE quoted the average buying rate at EGP 48.6244 and the selling rate at EGP 48.7244, compared with Wednesday’s rates of EGP 48.6562 for buying and EGP 48.7562 for selling.
