Egyptian Sigma Paints owner PPG group obtains sales of $150mn

PPG Protective and Marine Coatings-Egypt total sales reached around US$150 million, Marketing and Decorative Business Development manager at Sigma Paints Nabila Henry said Saturday.

PPG group exists in 60 countries owning 160 paints factories and 32 brands, providing 47,000 job opportunities globally per year, the official stated.

During her speech in Paints Traders forum held on March 25, 2016 in Sharm El Sheikh,  Henry added that PPG has seized Sigma company since 2011, clarifying that the company draw a plan to expand into market gradually through opening coloring  centres in affiliate networks.

The official pointed out that growth rate in company’s sales is estimated at 22 percent, emphasising on the importance of taking parts in periodical conferences for paints manufacturers and traders to discuss obstacles that face paints sector in attendance of all parties.

Holding such conferences also important to have social discussions to be solved, notably customs problem, Henry noted.
