Egyptian telecom operators provide isolation hospitals with ventilators, medical supplies
Egypt’s telecom operators, Telecom Egypt, Orange, and Etisalat have provided coronavirus isolation hospitals with 12 ventilators and protective equipment enough for 200 medical personnel for a month, communications ministry said on Saturday.
The three telecos have launched an initiative to provide the health sector and isolation hospitals with ventilators as well as medical and protective equipment, the ministry statement added.
The initiative aimed at supporting Egypt’s efforts in fighting the coronavirus pandemic and filling the healthcare sector’s needs during the ongoing crisis, the statement said.
