Egypt’s annual inflation records 4.6% in July, rises 0.2% monthly
Egypt’s annual consumer price inflation recorded 4.6 percent in July 2020, compared to 7.8 percent in July 2020, according to the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).

CAPMAS attributed the rise in inflation to the increase in prices of some commodities during the month, as electricity, gas and other fuel materials by 11.2 percent, hotel services by 2.7 percent, outpatient services by 1.5 percent, ready meals by 1.2 percent, personal care by 1.1 percent, and hospital service by 0.8 percent.
