Egypt’s AOI boosts elevator industry with localisation partnership

Egypt’s Arab Organisation for Industrialisation (AOI), Talaat Moustafa Group (TMG), and global elevator leader Schindler signed an agreement to localise, assemble, and test elevator components.

Under the agreement, Schindler will implement a programme to localise the assembly of specific elevator components for development projects under the Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and New Urban Communities in Egypt.

The partnership aims to supply up to 5,000 units annually for 10 years. The project will generate job opportunities in the local market. It will also offer accreditation and professional certification to enhance the skills of the Egyptian technical workforce.
