Egypt’s Arab British Company for Dynamic Industries (ABD), a subsidiary of the Arab Organisation for Industrialisation (AOI), signed an agreement on Thursday with the Agricultural Research Centre (ARC), which operates under the Ministry of Agriculture.
The deal aims to produce organic fertiliser from plant and animal waste, according to a Cabinet statement. The project aims to promote environmental sustainability and support rural development by using biogas technology to convert agricultural and livestock waste into renewable energy and marketable byproducts.
AOI Chairman Mokhtar Abdel Latif said the move aligns with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s directives to harness national industrial capabilities and strengthen the “Made in Egypt” brand.
He added that AOI is working with the Ministry of Agriculture, research institutions, and both public and private sectors to implement green projects that meet local market demands with high-quality and competitively priced solutions.
