Egypt’s balance of payments records $4.1b surplus
Transactions of the Egyptian economy with the external world recorded an increase in the overall balance of payments (BoP) surplus to register $4.1 billion, during July/March of the 2023/2024 financial year, the Central Bank of Egypt said in a statement on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the capital and financial account recorded a net inflow of $20.0 billion. On the other hand, the current account deficit widened to record $17.1 billion.
