Egypt’s bourse indexes show mixed performance at close of Wed.
The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) indexes showed mixed performance at the close of Wednesday’s trading amid sales by Egyptian investors.
However, purchases prevailed in the transactions of Arab and foreign institutions and investment funds.
The market capital gained about 900 million pounds, closing at 752.4 billion pounds after transactions totaled 2.1 billion pounds.
The EGX 30 benchmark index rose 0.39 percent, registering 15,014.82 points.
The broader EGX 70 index of the leading small and mid-cap enterprises (SMEs) increased slightly by 0.01 percent, recording 556.63 points.
Meanwhile, the all-embracing EGX 100 index was down 0.05 percent, standing at 1,481.06 points.
