Egypt’s c.bank announces interest rate meeting schedule for 2022, starting Feb 3
Egypt’s central bank announced on Sunday the schedule of its meetings that determine the course of key interest rates for 2022.
The Central Bank of Egypt’s Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) holds regularly scheduled meetings during the year and other meetings as needed.
Amwal Al Ghad publishes the MPC’s 2022 calendar as follows:

The central bank has kept its benchmark interest rates unchanged at its last meeting in 2021, maintaining the overnight deposit rate, overnight lending rate, and the rate of the main operation at 8.25 percent, 9.25 percent, and 8.75 percent, respectively.
The discount rate was also unchanged at 8.75 percent.
