Egypt’s CAOA, NFSA discuss strengthening cooperation

Egypt’s Central Agency for Organisation and Administration (CAOA) head Hatem Nabil met with Chairman of the National Food Safety Authority (NFSA) Tarek El-Houby to enhance cooperation and improve the food safety system, the Cabinet said.

The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between the two bodies to enhance the NFSA’s human resources capabilities, in line with the state’s efforts to improve the national food safety system and protect public health.

Discussions included the NFSA’s staffing needs and mechanisms to support the authority with qualified personnel, aiming for more effective human resources planning and optimal utilisation of available talent.

Nabil emphasised the CAOA’s commitment to providing technical support in strategic human resources planning and capacity building. He noted that the coming period will see greater collaboration with various administrative bodies as part of the government’s administrative reform agenda.

El-Houby welcomed the cooperation, highlighting the importance of improving the efficiency of human resources within the NFSA to meet the specialised technical and regulatory responsibilities it carries out across the country.
