Egypt’s CAPMAS signs data-sharing protocol with civil alliance

Egypt’s Central Agency for Public Mobilisation and Statistics (CAPMAS) has signed a cooperation protocol with the National Alliance for Civil Development Work to share data and build joint databases for evidence-based decision-making, the agency said Wednesday.

The agreement underscores CAPMAS’ role as Egypt’s national data reference, providing economic, social and environmental indicators to support state institutions and civil society in designing more effective development initiatives.

The cooperation will enable the Alliance to better identify target groups for social protection and education programmes, ensuring aid reaches beneficiaries accurately and fairly. CAPMAS said the partnership is aimed at enhancing social justice, improving living standards for vulnerable groups and advancing Egypt’s Vision 2030.
