Egypt’s CBE auctions EGP 52b in T-bills
The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) is offering 52 billion Egyptian pounds in treasury bills (T-bills) on Thursday, in coordination with the Ministry of Finance.
The auction is in two tranches: a 182-day T-bills worth 42 billion pounds to be matured on 27/05/2025, and a 364-day T-bills worth 10 billion pounds to be matured on 25/11/2025, as per the statement.
Treasury bills are short-term government debt instruments with maturities ranging from three months to a year.
