Egypt’s CBE issues EGP 50b T-bills
The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) is auctioning 50 billion Egyptian pounds in treasury bills (T-bills) on Sunday, in coordination with the Ministry of Finance, according to a CBE statement on its website.
The auctions are being offered in two tranches: 25 billion pounds for 91-day to be maturated on 18/06/2024 and another 25 billion pounds for 273-day to be maturated on 17/12/2024.
Treasury bills are short-term government debt instruments with maturities ranging from three months to a year.
