Egypt’s CBE issues EGP90b in T-bills

The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE), in coordination with the Ministry of Finance, is offering 90 billion Egyptian pounds in treasury bills (T-bills) on Thursday, July 17, 2025.

The auction is in two tranches: 182-day T-bills worth 40 billion pounds to mature on 20/01/2026 and 364-day T-bills worth 50 billion pounds to mature on 21/07/2026, as per the statement.

Treasury bills are short-term government debt instruments with maturities ranging from three months to a year.
