Egypt’s CBE offers EGP 3b in fixed coupon t-bonds

The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) issued on Sunday treasury bonds (T-Bonds) with fixed coupon in Egyptian pound worth three billion pounds, in coordination with the Ministry of Finance, according to a statement on its website.

The fixed-coupon bond has a maturity date of April 16, 2027, offering a competitive coupon rate of 25.151 per cent per year, as per the bank’s statement.

A coupon is an annual interest paid on a bond. Investors receive a coupon payment, either annually or biannually, from issuance until maturity, if they hold the bond, as explained by DailyForex website.
