Egypt’s CBE offers EGP 55b in T-bills
The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) is offering 50 billion Egyptian pounds in treasury bills (T-bills) on Thursday, in coordination with the Ministry of Finance, according to a CBE statement on its website.
The auction shall be in two tranches: 25 billion pounds for 182-day to be maturated on 26/11/2024, and 25 billion pounds for 364-day to be maturated on 27/05/2025, as per the statement.
Treasury bills are short-term government debt instruments with maturities ranging from three months to a year.
