Egypt’s CBE to auction EGP 55b in T-bills

The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) offered 55 billion Egyptian pounds in treasury bills (T-bills) on Sunday, in coordination with the Ministry of Finance.

The auction shall be in two tranches: 30 billion pounds for 182-day to be maturated on 28/01/2025, and 25 billion pounds for 364-day to be maturated on 29/07/2025, as per the statement.

Treasury bills are short-term government debt instruments with maturities ranging from three months to a year.
