CBE to issue treasury bills worth EGP 13.7 bln today
Egypt’s Central bank (CBE) will issue treasury bills worth EGP 13.7 billion on behalf of the Ministry of Finance on Sunday.
The first issue of 91-day treasury bills will be worth EGP 6.7 billion, the 266- days will be worth EGP 7 billion.
On the other hand, the budget deficit is expected to reach EGP 370 billion by the end of the year, it will be financed through the Central bank issued treasury bills and bonds, which are the government debt instruments on behalf of the Ministry of Finance and through aids and grants from Arab countries and international loans.
