Egypt’s cement exports climbed by 33 percent during the first five months of 2023, according to a recent report by the Export Council for Building Materials, Refractory, and Metallurgy Industries (ECBM).
According to the report, the exports recorded $380 million, up from the $286 million recorded during the same period in 2022.
Ivory Coast’s imports of Egyptian cement had a value of $84.347 million, rising by 203 percent year on year (YoY).
Ghana imported $65.155 million worth of Egyptian cement. While Libya’s imports of cement from an Egypt witnessed an annual increase of 22 percent, to record $23.868 million.
