Egypt’s central bank issues $1.35bln T-bills
The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) offered new treasury bills (T-bills) worth 42 billion Egyptian pounds in two auctions on Thursday, according to official data showed on Thursday.
The first tranche of the T-bills is worth 18.50 billion pounds and is set to mature in 182 days on 13 February 2024.
The second tranche has a value of 23.50 billion pounds and with a tenor of 364 days until 13 August next year.
The central bank auctioned T-bills with a total value of 43 billion pounds in two offerings last week.
