Egypt’s CIT Min. discusses national property ID rollout

Egypt’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology (CIT) Amr Talaat met with several ministers to discuss the national real estate property ID system and its executive regulations, as per a Cabinet statement on Sunday.

Talaat said the new system assigns unique ID numbers to real estate properties nationwide, with 19 million IDs have been issued so far in several governorates in coordination with the real estate wealth operations centre under the Administrative Control Authority (ACA).

He noted that the system will enable accurate data collection on all types of properties, including housing units and agricultural land, according to the Cabinet’s statement.

Manal Awad, Minister of Local Development, emphasised the need to collaborate with the CIT Ministry for seamless integration and quality of local databases to support system implementation.

She added that the ministry will provide data to local administrations on local services for citizens in different provinces and technological centres to help implement the system effectively.
