Egypt’s commercial services office in Cyprus provided 25 export contracts estimated at €35 million during 2016, Head of Egyptian Commercial Services Office (ECS), Ahmed Antar said Tuesday.
Antar added that the office concluded signing direct export contracts worth around €600,000; a franchise contract worth €200,000 signed between a Cypriot firm and two Egyptian companies working in food industries field in addition to a contract worth €400,000 to export charcoal to Cyprus.
On other side, commercial services office in Tunisia submitted a report to state’s Trade and Industry Minister Tarek Qabil about the increase in Egypt’s exports to the Tunisian market.
The report showed that Egyptian exports to Tunisia rose eight percent in 2016 while Tunisian imports to Egypt dropped by 32.5 percent, Antar pointed out.
