Egypt’s competition body approves 3 major acquisitions

The Egyptian Competition Authority (ECA) approved three significant acquisition deals spanning the fertiliser, medical, and transport and infrastructure sectors, according to its statement on Wednesday.

In the fertiliser industry, ADNOC Fertilisers was permitted to acquire a 50 percent stake, plus one share, in Fertiglobe PLC by purchasing 4,150,659,464 shares, according to the statement.

Siemens Healthineers was authorised to acquire contracts from Estsharion Medical Care in the medical sector. Additionally, Latour Capital Management SAS was approved to acquire 58.2 per cent of SYSTRA’s total shares.
