Egypt’s core inflation dips in July – CBE
Egypt’s monthly core CPI inflation rate saw a decline in July, recording a negative 0.5 percent compared with 1.3 percent in June, a Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) data showed on Thursday. This is also compared with 1.3 percent in the corresponding month of the previous year.
On an annual basis, core CPI inflation stood at 24.4 per cent in July 2024, down from 26.6 per cent in June 2024. This indicates a cooling trend in inflation.
