Egypt’s coronavirus cases pass 4,500, with 215 new infections

Egypt’s coronavirus cases have passed 4,500 as of Sunday, according to a health ministry statement.

The country has confirmed additional 215 new infections of the virus on Sunday, bringing the total to 4,534, the statement read.

It has also reported 10 new fatalities on Sunday, bringing the total number of deaths linked to the COVID-19 to 317.

The ministry said 62 Egyptian patients have fully recovered and been discharged from isolation hospitals and quarantine facilities, bringing the total number of recoveries to 1,176.
