Cairo Criminal Court, in Thursday’s session, carried a jail 3-years sentence on the ex-PM Ahmed Nazif, and fining him EGP 9 million; as he is convicted with illicit gains.
The Illicit Gains Authority (IGA) has referred the ex-PM to the criminal court; accusing him of illicit gains, getting illicit gifts from journalistic institutions, and allowing his wife and two sons to get distinguished occupations.
Ahmed Nazif was also charged of using his power to illicitly gain EGP 64 million; representing in a plot of land and an apartment in San Stefano towers. The investigations revealed that the culprit, his wife and his two sons have 12 palaces, a villa, a plot of land and shares in 7 companies that work in the field of information technology, in addition to 4 luxurious cars.
