Egypt’s dairy firm Domty deals with Fawry to boost financial inclusion

Egyptian Arabian Food Industries Company (Domty) collaborated on Wednesday with Egypt’s e-payment giant Fawry FMCG to provide solutions which will facilitate electronic collection systems.

The partnership also aims to digitise the food and beverage sector and enhance financial inclusion in all sectors in the Egyptian market, a statement published by Domty company said.

Under this agreement, Domty representatives will be able to deposit funds collected daily from merchants in Fawry branches covering all governorates of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

This came as part of Fawry’s constant endeavour to improve all sectors with an advanced set of financial technology solutions, especially the food and beverage sector, and spread the culture of digital transformation to achieve a cashless society.

“Fawry is also striving to enter into many agreements with companies and institutions that will contribute to spreading digital transformation and enhance electronic collection processes,” Hossam Ezz, CEO of Fawry, said.

The agreement is an important step towards enhancing the digitisation of Domty’s financial transactions with its merchants and distributors throughout Egypt, Mohamed El-Damaty, CEO of Domty company.
