Egypt’s Deputy Minister of Health Mohamed El-Tayeb met with Dina Fadaly Dean of the Arab Institute for Leadership Development (AILD) to discuss collaboration in training healthcare personnel, the Ministry reported on Tuesday.
The meeting aimed to create training programmes for young professionals in leadership roles and improve institutional efficiency, focusing on leadership development and biomedical specialisations to align with healthcare sector priorities.
Discussions also covered collaboration mechanisms, including partial scholarships, financial discounts, and customised training programmes for the Ministry of Health and the Egyptian Healthcare Authority (EHA).
The ministry officials reviewed the quality of the proposed courses, and expressed readiness to provide training venues and establish a clear cooperation pathway, potentially formalised through a protocol agreement.
The meeting additionally addressed standards for healthcare facilities serving medical tourism, aiming to meet international benchmarks and deliver high-quality services, reinforcing Egypt’s position as a leading destination in the sector.
