Egypt’s Digital Pioneers Initiative to train 30,095 young professionals

Egypt’s Ministry of Communications, the Egyptian Military Academy, and the Tahya Misr Fund have signed a cooperation protocol on Tuesday to implement the presidential initiative Digital Pioneers. The initiative, fully funded by the ministry and the fund, will train 30,095 young professionals over three years using the academy’s facilities for accommodation and services.

The Digital Pioneers Initiative aims to equip youth with advanced technological skills through specialised training programmes in artificial intelligence, data analysis, cybersecurity, and software development. It also includes scientific and practical training, personal, linguistic, and leadership skills development, and support for freelancing and entrepreneurship, enhancing competitiveness in local and international IT and communications markets.

According to a Cabinet’s statement, participants must commit full-time throughout the study period and will receive a joint accredited certificate from the ministry and the military academy, with additional certificates for each skill acquired. Master’s degrees will be issued by an international partner university.

The initiative also provides a comprehensive pathway including technical and field training, cultural, scientific, sports, and social activities, and opportunities to compete in local and global technology competitions with awards for top performers.

Applicants can choose from a variety of programmes, including a four-month intensive diploma, a nine-month specialised diploma, a 12-month professional master’s programme, or a 24-month Master of Science programme.
