The Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) Chairman Ali El-Ghamrawy has held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Philippines to Egypt Ezzedin Tago to explore avenues of bilateral cooperation in the pharmaceutical sector.
The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration in the regulation and trade of medical products between the two countries.
Discussions included facilitating the registration procedures for Egyptian pharmaceutical and medical products in the Philippines and examining opportunities for mutual recognition of drug registration dossiers to accelerate access to safe and effective medicines for citizens in both countries.
El Ghamrawy emphasised that the EDA places great importance on expanding international cooperation with peer regulatory bodies, viewing it as a key pillar for supporting Egypt’s pharmaceutical industry and enhancing the accessibility of Egyptian medicines in new markets.
