Egypt’s Education Ministry on Tuesday released new details on a cooperation protocol with Casio Middle East, announced earlier by the Cabinet, aiming to train preparatory school mathematics teachers.
The ministry said the programme, signed by Education Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif during the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 9), will train teachers to use calculator applications in curricula.
It added that the initiative will begin with pilot phases supported by inspectors before expanding nationwide, and will include a comprehensive guide of best practices to ensure sustainability.
The ministry noted that the deal builds on its partnership with Casio since 2018, which has delivered training programmes across Egypt aimed at enhancing interactive teaching methods.
