Egypt’s EgSA, NWRC sign protocol to apply satellites in water studies

Egypt’s Space Agency (EgSA) signed a cooperation protocol on Sunday with the National Water Research Centre (NWRC) to promote the use of space technology in managing water resources, the Cabinet said in a statement.

The agreement covers satellite image analysis, joint research projects, and the exchange of technical expertise and training, according to the statement.

EgSA CEO Maged Ismail said the partnership reflects the agency’s commitment to applying space technologies in support of national priorities, particularly water management.

NWRC Chairman Sherif Mohamady said the initiative will help develop monitoring and analysis tools to improve water use and support sustainable development.
