Egypt’s EGX closes mixed on Dec 17

Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed mixed on Tuesday. The main index, EGX30 went down by 0.64 per cent, to 30,601.64 points.

The Shariah index, EGX33 rose by 0.06 per cent to 3,185.92 points.

The SMEs index, EGX70 fell by 0.03 per cent, to 8,581.12 points.

The index, EGX100 index dropped by 0.07 per cent, to 11,731.66 points.

The total market cap reached 2,247,522,933,570 Egyptian pounds.

The Arabs and Non-Arab Foreigners were net buyers with 12,740,449,535 Egyptian pounds, and 3,409,119,271 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, The Egyptians were net sellers with a total of 16,149,568,806 Egyptian pounds.

Top gainers on Tuesday

  1. GB Corp (GBCO.CA) shares climbed by 10.07 per cent, to close at 17.490 Egyptian pounds a share.
  2. ODIN Financial Investments (ODIN.CA) shares jumped by 5.88 per cent, to close at 1.980 Egyptian pounds a share.
  3. Medical Packaging Company (MEPA.CA) shares surged by 5.22 per cent, to close at the price of 1.410 Egyptian pounds a share.

Top losers on Tuesday

  1. The Arab Dairy Products Co. Arab Dairy – Panda (ADPC.CA) shares declined by 6.05 per cent, to close at the price of 3.260 Egyptian pounds a share.
  2. Extracted Oils (ZEOT.CA) shares fell by 4.51 per cent, to trade at the price of 3.810 Egyptian pounds a share.
  3. A Capital Holding (ACAP.CA) shares dropped by 3.99 per cent, to the purchasing price of 2.650 Egyptian pounds a share.
