Egypt’s EHA partners with Huawei to launch 1st virtual hospital

Egypt Healthcare Authority (EHA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Huawei Technologies to strengthen cooperation in digital transformation and the development of smart infrastructure within healthcare facilities, the Egyptian Cabinet reported on Monday.

EHA Chairman Ahmed El-Sobky stated that under the agreement, Huawei will serve as the technical operations partner for Africa and Egypt’s first virtual hospital. Huawei will also be the first operator to introduce 5G technology and smart ecosystems within EHA’s facilities.

The agreement was signed on the sidelines of El-Sobky’s participation in the 91st edition of the China International Medical Equipment Fair (CMEF) in Shanghai.
