Egypt’s Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Hassan El-Khatib, held a meeting with a delegation of 42 Italian companies to explore investment opportunities in Egypt. Italy’s Ambassador to Egypt, Michele Quaroni attended the meeting.
El-Khatib emphasised Egypt’s commitment to creating an attractive investment climate through comprehensive economic policies aimed at reducing time and costs, positioning Egypt as a strategic export hub to Asia, Africa, and Europe.
He highlighted Egypt’s advanced industrial infrastructure and skilled workforce as key advantages for Italian investors, particularly in strategic sectors like renewable energy, including the localisation of solar panel and wind turbine manufacturing.
He also invited Italian companies to leverage Egypt’s growing market in various sectors, including workforce training and establishing industrial zones for handcrafted products such as jewellery and clothing, contributing to the national economy.
