Egyptian Oil Minister Tarek El-Molla headed Monday to Saudi Arabia to partake in the 14th Arab International Mineral Resources Conference that takes place on 22-24 November 2016.
The conference is organised by Saudi Ministry of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources in cooperation with Arab Industrial Development and Mining Organization (AIDMO).
Minister El-Molla stated that after launching the conference, a ministerial meeting is set to be held in attendance of mining ministers to discuss enhancing and coordinating Arab cooperation in mineral resources sector.
The Conference aims at exchanging knowledge and experience between Arab and foreign experts and Arab and international institutions working in the mining sector as well as activating the Arab-international cooperation in this field.
It targets acquainting with the mineral sector and its impact on the economies of Arab countries, the promotion of mining projects, the development of mining legislation and elimination of obstacles hindering Arab and foreign investments in this sector.
