Egypt’s El Nasr Castings achieve high results – Cabinet

Egypt’s El Nasr Castings factory has achieved sales of around EGP812 million since reopening in November 2024 after a two-year closure, Minister of Industry and Transport Kamel El-Wazir has announced.

The factory produces ductile iron pipes and fittings with investments of EGP2.5 billion and an annual capacity of 47,000 tons. It utilises 70 per cent local component and employs 1,219 workers.

El Wazir inspected ductile iron pipe casting lines, a 45-metre heat treatment furnace, and ferro-silicon magnesium alloy production — a strategic product that helps cut imports and save foreign currency, the statement added.
