Egypt’s El-Sherbiny reviews NUCA progress, future plans

Egypt’s Minister of Housing Sherif El-Sherbiny discussed activities by various New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) sectors and future work plans, as per a Cabinet statement.

El-Sherbiny emphasised the need to meet the ministry’s targets by maximising resources. He urged officials to develop work plans for each sector, increase project implementation rates, and evaluate performance to improve site efficiency.

The minister also discussed upcoming housing projects and emphasised the need for regular monitoring of ongoing projects. He also reviewed the progress and upcoming procedures for offering housing units in line with the president’s directives.

El-Sherbiny reviewed the Your Home in Egypt initiative for housing units for Egyptian expats, noting positive feedback. Priority will be given to supporting the Bayt Al-Watan initiative to meet the needs of Egyptians living abroad.

He emphasised the focus on strategic goals in the NUCA, such as maximising financial resources, prioritising sustainable funding, and driving development in projects, the statement added.
