Egypt’s Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Sherif El-Sherbiny reviewed the progress of various development projects on the Northwestern coast, during a meeting in New Alamein City, as per a Cabinet statement on Sunday.
El-Sherbiny received a comprehensive briefing on the projects underway in the Ras Al-Hikma area, encompassing infrastructure works and current initiatives across all sectors in the region.
He also assessed progress on road and utility projects in the Shams Al-Hikma area for residents of Ras Al-Hikma city, stressing the need for strict adherence to project timelines, according to the statement.
El-Sherbiny also assessed the progress of development projects on lands managed by the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) in the West Dabaa region, covering 1,230 acres, the statement added.
A comprehensive urban community will be established to house residents from the West Dabaa Al-Bahriya and Al-Qibli areas, as well as to provide essential services for the local population.
The meeting focused on the lakes project, set to start south of the international coastal road to maximise land benefits. It aimed to accelerate strategic plans for lands under the NUCA in the Northwest Coast Sector for optimal utilisation.
El-Sherbiny emphasised the importance of continuous coordination with contractors, expediting project schedules, and implementing a structured monitoring system to resolve technical challenges efficiently.
